Max began his career in the Roaring Fork Valley, and after receiving his Master of Architecture degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, returned to Colorado to focus on Public projects.  He has built his practice around exceptional client service that fosters long-lasting relationships.

At F&M, Max specializes in contemporary K-12 educational environments.  He finds fulfillment through working with diverse stakeholders to define a vision for their community, transforming everyday spaces into memorable experiences. With each project, Max strives to create architecture that is relevant to his client’s values and culture.

As a parent and devout supporter of public education, he is driven by a sense of responsibility to create safe and healthy learning environments for our kids and teachers.  In 2018, Max was awarded a scholarship from the Colorado Chapter of the AIA to study innovative learning environments in Scandinavia, where he gained an appreciation for the ability school design has to enhance the learning experience. Humble and deeply connected to his work, Max designs schools with a sense of wonder, respect, and responsibility.
