Architectural Philosophy

I listen first.  It is most important to hear you before considering a direction for your project.

I am a team player, putting the success of the project and team in front of my personal interests.  My role is only one part of the overall project team and that you need experts in multiple disciplines to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.

I have been a part of numerous large and complex high-end residential projects over the last 21 years in resort communities, managing successfully numerous consultants and other team members for each project.

I do not subscribe to a particular mountain vernacular style, but allow it to evolve based on the client's desires and the individual characteristics of the site.

I believe high-quality design should be desirable, regardless, at all budgets.  The key is that there are shared design values between the Architect and the Client.

I subscribe to the "keep it simple" mantra.  If it is still complex, in my opinion, it is still unresolved.

When I am not working to achieve your dreams, I am spending time with wife and two daughters enjoying the beautiful place in which we live, or traveling to other beautiful places around the country or the world.
